Nigeria South South Women forum of Michigan
The Nigerian South-South Women Forum of Michigan is an independent group established for the purpose of presenting a balanced approach in promoting the interest of Michigan youths, women, men, Americans, and the people of Nigeria as a whole.
It shows allegiance to no individual, political party, community, religious or other interest group. Its primary commitment is the integrity and the rights of women and the people of Michigan in the US and Nigeria as a whole. The Nigerian South-South women forum is a liberal group committed to the best traditions and ideals of democracy. We believe it is the responsibility of the mother to inculcate, counsel, their children to become a good leader of tomorrow to avoid youth restiveness.
The Nigerian South-South Women Forum will at all times uphold the need for justice, in public life, equal access to the nation’s resources, and equal protection under the laws of the USA and Nigeria for all its citizens. A group that believes that women have legitimate say in the affairs in Nigeria as a nation.
Wethe members of the Nigerian South-South Women forum of Michigan have resolved to live in unity and peace as one individual an indissoluble entity under God’s dedication to the promotion of cooperation, unity, understanding, and peaceful development of our community in Michigan and in Nigeria as a whole.
Our Mission
1.0 To create an enabling environment for NSSFM to harness and realize their maximum potential individually and collectively.
1.1 To promote gender equality in different affairs affecting women and children of Nigerian South South Women forum in Michigan USA.
1.2 To foster the spirit of unity and active participation in community affairs among women in Michigan and Nigeria.
1.3 To promote the welfare of the people especially the women and children of the Nigerian South South Women Forum
1.4 To enable the women of the NSSWF to play an appropriate role in the affairs of the community.
1.5 To help empower the people, especially the women of the NSSWF to live a meaningful life.
1.6 To create economic and social awareness among women of the branch.
1.7 To foster collaboration and co-operation among us.
1.8 To collaborate and cooperate with other organizations with similar interest.
1.9 To promote the culture of the people of Nigeria.
1.10 To foster awareness and co-operation among women of the NSSWF organization and their counterpart in other branches in USA.
1.11 Mobilization of women and youth for purposeful development through enlightenment programs consisting of seminars and workshops.
